Water-displacing, easily removable soft-film preservative
XT-817 is an easily removable, soft, water-displacing thin-film preservative containing an effective corrosion inhibitor. It forms a transparent, soft, waxy film for protection and lubrication, inhibits rust and corrosion, protects steel parts indoors, inhibits exfoliation and filiform corrosion of aluminium, penetrates to displace moisture, and contains no chlorinated solvents or silicone. Safe on most surfaces.
Designed to protect ferrous and non-ferrous precision equipment and parts in indoor or covered storage and during shipment; an oil-based rust preventative for enclosed vessels and packaged or sheltered exposures.
Supplied ready to use; agitate well before using. Spray with conventional or airless equipment, or brush, to a uniform wet film thickness of 1 mil (25 microns). Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of rust, oil and mill scale. Ensure adequate ventilation; do not apply other coatings over or under this film.
